PERSONAL FILES
Nickname?
Not really. E or Big E, sometimes.

Tattoos?
None.

Best DE I've faced:
Derrick Burgess from Oakland is kind of like my unicorn. For some reason it's always a struggle for me, I can never get comfortable against him. Jevon Kearse gives me a lot of problems, too, he's done better than most against me.

Best offensive player I've played with:
Andre Johnson. I've played with him from college through the pros, and now he is head and shoulders above any of the other offensive players in the league. I also played with Cedric Benson in high school and he averaged 10 yards a carry.

My best block:
One play really helped propel me to where I am now. It was the 8th game of my rookie year. I wasn't a starter at that point, I was a backup at both tackles. We were in Jacksonville, it was the fourth quarter and we were trying to run out the clock for one of our few wins that year. It got to the point where if we got just one more first down, we would run out the clock and win. Zach Weigert, one of our starting tackles, was injured and I went in to replace him on second down. Soon it was fourth and inches on our own 35 or 40, and we knew if we got it, we would win, and if we didn't we could very easily lose. They called a play where the back would run right over my head, coming right down my chute. We got a yard and won, and the next week I started against Buffalo. I've started every game since then, 39 games in a row now.

Closest friends in football:
Chris Myers, our center, we played together at Miami. Also David Anderson and Owen Daniels.

Favorite foods:
I like everything. Steak, sushi, Indian food. Anything works for me.

Favorite movies:
Any good drama or action movie. I don't like horror movies at all. I really liked “A Few Good Men.” Any movie with good acting, great plots and good action. I'm a sucker for James Bond movies, and “Mission Impossible.”

What's in your iPod?
I've got a pretty eclectic collection, everything from Jay-Z to Pat Green, Kenny Chesney, Metallica, Nirvana. And everything in between.

Superstitions:
I really don't have any, but I like doing things a certain way. I find one way I like to do things and I do it all the time, but I don't believe that helps me win or anything.

Best qualities for a person to have:
Got to be straightforward, fun, with a sense of humor, know how to have a good time and not take things too personal.

Charitable endeavors:
I do a lot of stuff with the Shriner's Hospital here in Houston and with the Gary Lynn Foundation.

My hero is:
Growing up it was always my older brother, Matt. I always looked up to him, he was always someone I could look to for advice. If anything comes up I know I can talk to him about it.
